Highlights include the beautiful remains of Bishop’s Waltham Palace, originally built in the 12th century as the residence of the Bishops of Winchester. Entry is free and there’s even a farmhouse museum which opens on some weekends during the summer. The grounds are also the venue for the annual Bishop’s Waltham Festival.
